| We usually keep a jersey cross as a house cow, seperate her from the calf overnight, milk out in the morning, then run the calf with her for the rest of the day ("Lazy mans' dairying"), I have grafted a second calf onto the house milkers when they have been heavier milkers than one calf can cope with

You look really sad you didn't get to read any chicken stories about Haymaker. |
Well we got wiped out of our chickens last fall,as did our niehbors. My niehbor shot the coon 3 times and the sucker still ran off, thier as big as small dogs around here.Never did find the body Lots of varmits around here.Any way were in the market for a new flock of chickens, new and improved coop of course, wondering what kind of different breeds are out there. We like fresh eggs every day and homegrown chicken is way better than any store bought,at least the one's we've raised.Even thought about buying a milk cow,but i'm not optimistic enough to milk twice a day |
Your supposed to teach your wife to milk. |
Had a milk goat once, don't drink goats milk ,so got rid of her,a friend pawned her off on us.Last time we'll have a animal that needs milking.
