Our local auction sold a cull Blonde bull for 75c/lb yesterday - they said it was the dearest cull bull they have sold in ten years. Now if only the other cattle prices would rise to the same extent.

In1968 we sold the first Charolais bull ever through the local yards-I think he brought 231/2/lb which supposedly was the most ever back then-they ground him up and fed him at the rodeo lol.

Quality of cattle is often reflected in it pricing Wink

I thought you'd enjoy that Silver Very Happy The bull did go to a packer, the top end bulls seem to be getting up there in price - another made over 70 cents in Ponoka yesterday.

I've got one big ole bull I should take to auction, I'd guess he weighs about 2200 lbs. I've used this one for too long now, and if I got 70 cents for him it would go a long way towards his replacement.

Silver seen a big char bull in GP sell for 63 pretty darn good for us northern boys. grass calves were crazy hot to good to see

That is good to see peacecountry. Hopefully the spring optimism translates into fall returns this year.

Good bulls in Kamloops on tuesday 69 cents ...cows 56 for good ones

Today in Armstrong pretty much the same thing, also 550 pound heifers 118 Smile

There were 2500 calvesat the sale today-I gues itwas pretty hot-Ty hasn't brought the cheque home yet for my little group-still busy pregtesting for the cow sale tomorrow and branding calves.
