On this mixed operation keeping up some farm equipment usually coincides with calving. This year it is nice enough to get at it a little early. The first picture is on the way home from 4H mechanics. The lights in the middle are a feedlot, the ones on the left is a packing plant and to the right of the packing plant is an auction market.

The next ones are of fixing last years broken stuff. I broke one the axle assemblies on the last day. Pasted it together to finish and then wait until it is warm enough to work on. Yes it was cold when it broke in the fall seeding rye.
Get it near the shop.

Survey what needs doing.

Get it done.

Looks naked in there now.

Hope you didn't mind some farming pictures. Calving is coming soon so I will get some livestock back into the camera.

Broken farm equipment is a sore subject right now....

I've got a 2955 tractor went down, clutch peddle got soft just before it went to the floor and stayed. Figured just the slave cylinder....Well it is gutted from the transmission to the radiator........well make that the fuel tank. Since they are that far into it they are going to clean it too.

Yesterday, a steering cylinder on my 2350 blew a seal, not just a little leak, a stream of fluid....and I pulled the carburetor off the 3010 last week to have it rebuilt. 3 for 3 right now. Glad I'm not having to feed hay.

Did manage to fix 2 cracked disc on the disc harrow for $25. Found 2 used ones at a used equipment dealer.

By the way, farming pictures are just as interesting as cows.

There's not enough room on my little oat patch to even turn that outfit around Per. Laughing

I kind of like iron when it is working.

Sorry for your luck 57. What do you have to trade Justin. I could do without the JD toolbar. I do like the flexicoil tank though.

Jeepers Justin I'd be all over it if there wasn't a very good 36 foot set of melroe 282's out behind the shop. Still a good set of drills can effectively place seed right where you want it. Smile
