Advice very often,so listen closely if anyone including your mamma tries to talk you into this minimally invasive crap called "TURP" tell them to get lost, about this time last month I weighed 185 Lbs,today I tipped the scales at 159, not complainin just some good solid advice "DONT" PERIOD.
I dont have the time or inclination to go into detail, really aint worth the trouble, just be aware it damned sure aint the cake walk the docs tell you it is so they can get your money.
good luck

| Haymaker, would you mind elaborating just a little please. While waiting to have my back surgery the docs have had me on steroids and needless to say I am a lot bigger than what I would like. I've gained 30#'s probably. I had a friend mention that Turp or whatever to me the other day. They just didn't know much about it.

Like most men the idea of ANYTHING going up through the urethral tract drove my out of my mind.
But I've had several procedures in the last years that way.
For a time I had to catheterize my self - NO BIG THING once you get over the idea of it - No Pain...

It's a way of removing part of an enlarged prostate by going up through the urethral tract. Ouch! |
I'd love to have that procedure but they say my Heart won't take it.
Most of OUR troubles, with any procedure, are in our Head.
Man-up!

Dear Mr Haymaker,
I do regret that you have decided to move your file to another Doctor. I hope you are more forth-right with them, when describing your ''physical ailments".
If it is any consolation; upon reviewing my initial diagnosis and the surgery performed, I find I may have been negligent in not offering an alternative surgery.
Please contact me at my new office at 123, Main Street, Glasgow, Montana. Under Obama's new health care system, I have been privately contracted by the Retirement Division of the local Law Enforcement Agency.
Regards
