There were a lot more issues that that where it ended up Nebraska on one side and Texas and the rest on the other.

| and yet you STILL do not see that NU was the bully of the Big *, formed the Big 12, was top dog a few years, then fell off the map, and now is leaving for greener pastures cause they are not the boss any more.....

I am very aware of that fact...but why is it that no husker fan will admit the truth, you got knocked off the top of the mountain, did not like it, and went off to pout and join the big ten....
give it time, the big ten will reap the reward off adding NU to the conference, and NU will still be third tit and be very low in the pecking order...

The big 8 days preceeded the big revenue dys so the FB money was made on bowl visits and home attendancewhere the schools didn't share money very much.

We didn't form the Big 12 - it started with the 4 SWC teams knocking on our doors with hat in hand.
And how were we the big bully of the Big 8?

take off the rose colored lasses. look at it from a different angle....you will see NU is just a bully p****d off that they can not copmpete with OU and Texas, and p****d that the doormats KSU, KU, ISU and Mizzou have all beat them in the past 6 years...so they puss out and leave.
just get the hell out, and dont let the dorr hit you in the ass.

We can't compete with OU and Texas? We beat OU and had Texas beat until the game was extended for them. We own KSU and KU again. ISU nips once every 20 years - we're back on top of Mizzou....
We left because we got a better deal and there was no reason to stay - simple as that. I don't see why you're p****d - you hate us and should be glad that we're gone. You've still got your conference and Texas's ass to kiss whenever they request it.
Now how again were we the big bully of the Big 8?

bully may be the wrong term. king of the mountain is more like it...then once pushed off the top, you cry like a baby and leave.
my hatred for Nu runs deep, but it really took on a whole new meaning with this latest cowardly cut and run move.
funny how all huskers think we are texas' bitch....not so. but I am excited to see how long it is before you see the truth, that OSU, Mich, and Penn State are NOT gonna let you walk in as an equal member..you are the new kid, and they will treat you as such.
at least in the big 12 you had a shot at getting to a national title...not gonna happen in the big 10.
