The radio's been advertising a big concert in September in Norfolk, NE with Cheap Trick, Grand Funk, and Three Dog Night. IF it was closer, and IF it wasn't on a day I had to work, there's no doubt in my mind that that would be a good show. I remember seeing Joan Jett & the Blackhearts just before they hit the big time.....awesome show at the student union, and it cost 2 bucks to get in.

I saw this show live. It also included Iron Butterfly, which is a story for another time. We were at an outdoor rock festival that got rained out and moved indoor to the Winnipeg Arena. I lost all my friends in the crowd and for some lucky reason found by brother. He had heard about the move, and we ran like we've never run before! Got right up at the front, and sat on the floor in soaking wet clothes for about six hours before the concert even started. We were as close as the camera got in this video. History in the making. We actually heard this song before the record came out. It was amazing!

We got out of there at 4 a.m. Got home by the time the sun came up. Cool
