From what I have read he was way down the list of RB and may never get a chance to play. Look like he is pretty good kid and has a 4.4 time in the 40. He was from OK.

Sam Houston has a prison down the street. Maybe he just wanted to be closer to family and friends. Laugh

Sorry about that. Embarassed I didn't have my glasses on that time. My wife used to work at Texas A & M and was a Neb fan while she worked there. They gave her a hard time, but when it came down to the game the Aggies always back down. They always say their day will come, but we are still waiting for it.

KSU lost out on a great little RB. The boy has been on fire since he's been here.

Quote:
Sam Houston State's Tim Flanders spent the 2009 season watching from the sidelines as a freshman running back at Kansas State.

A year later, the redshirt freshman transfer is back to doing what he does best — punishing defenses.

Flanders shook off a sluggish first half Saturday against Nicholls State, pounding his way to 105 yards and a rushing touchdown that sealed the Bearkats' 26-7 victory. It was Flanders' fourth straight 100-yard rushing performance, making him the only freshman and the third player in school history to achieve the milestone.

Famous last words. Thomas ain't #1 anymore...think about it...Martinez, a QB, got what, 4, 5, 6 times more yards rushing than Thomas did last Thursday night? Put a fork in Thomas, he's done.

You wouldn't think a "legendary" head coach would let a gem the likes of Flanders get away, would ya?

I will tell you one thing this kid runs with heart. I have only seen him play once and he had guy hanging all over him and get 4-5 yards more before they could get him down. He has rushed for 560 yards and 7 TD so far this season and he is just a Freshmen. I can't wait to see what he does his senior year. Very Happy
