Well I guess I'm late weighing in here but I agree with Mike, looked like Chara did it on purpose to me. On the replay if you watch Chara's head he's watching the stanchion coming up and timed his shove perfectly. And given how he blew up at Patches the last time they played over that cheap shove Patches gave him after the game winning goal, I think Chara was looking for some measure of revenge. Add to that the fact that Chara knew it was an illegal hit (interference), it makes him appear all the more guilty. If that had been Mat Cook I bet I know what the call would have been.

The game is like watching a bunch of Transformers in a movie. They are so big and are wearing armor akin to the chariot drivers in the Roman Empire. Take the Football equipment out of the game would be a good place to get the game back for me. Having said that everyone shoots 100mph now so maybe the sticks need to go back to wood.

It could be just me wanting to relive the past but watching hockey used to be funner at the professional level than it is today. Even at the live game it is more an entertainment spectacle than a hockey game. That is what people have come to expect I suppose but it takes away from the game.

Some of the best watching hockey is a Midget Girls game. Fast skating and skill. Pretty good hockey.

Watched a good old Tier Two PeeWee tilt in Bassano last night-they were down to 3 on 3 in overtime before a kid put a slapper high glove from the top of the circles. Well coached teams both of them the kids were seeing the ice and moving the puck well.
