Starving cattle in FL now being mentioned in Schiavo case

Once again, please tell me it isn't true!

Last Saturday I reported in this chat room about the lady in Kentucky who had 80+ head of cattle that starved to death. Now she is in big trouble, and the beef industry got another black eye.

This morning, on a talk radio station, people were using another case like this to make some points in the Terri Schiavo case. Basically, they were saying, "Did you hear about the FL rancher who is letting his cattle starve? He has about 120 head of cattle, and someone just discovered that about 20 of them have starved to death and the others are in various states of malnutrition and starvation. This rancher is being brought up on animal cruelty charges. If the state of Florida will not let a rancher let his cattle starve without grave circumstances, then we certainly shouldn't let someone get away with starving a human being."

Come on now folks! Where are all the good neighbors in this world? Is anyone out there visiting with neighbors and staying on top of things? This sort of thing makes no sense, and it is very bad for the industry. Once again, the Florida beef associations should find out what really is happening here and do something. What happens in Florida will have an effect in Texas, California and Montana whether you want to believe it or not.
