Anyway- I did a little googling and this is what I found...No wonder they say we have a country run by millionaires-- for the millionaires....

Who are the richest senators of the 110th congress? Names like Rockefeller and Clinton weren’t surprising but a few others were.

What was a little surprising is the fact that the top 4 wealthiest senators are Democrats. And I thought the Republicans were the “rich, white guys”.

We took the top 15 and listed their minimum and maximum net worth. We listed the Minimum Net Worth and a Maximum Net Worth because the disclosure forms that they are required to file don’t require exact amounts.

The first thing that jumped out at me is that Bill Frist is not a member of the 110th Congress. So how accurate do you think this is?

And don't you think it's a bit disingenuous to search for politicans' wealth, then complain because he's wealthy?

All depends upon how they got their wealth ! I do have problems with politicians that divorce their wives to marry a rich Ketchup or Beer heiress whose wealth/status they use to further their political goals.....Or those that use their political postitions to gain or enrich it...

Let's see...that list shows the wealthiest House member being a Democrat. Is that right?

And four out of five of the wealthiest Senators are Democrats?

And out of the whole Congress, seven out of ten of the richest are Democrats? (That's 70% if you're mathematically challenged. Wink)

How does that happen? I thought it was those dirty Republicans who are the rich guys? Confused

Yep, ff - I bet you think it's disingenuous for somebody to post a list like that. Laughing

I don't have any problem with the list. I do question how accurate it is because Frist is wrongly included. So why should we believe the rest of the list? But if it's true, it shows that you can be a Liberal and still make money. Very Happy
