We got started combining soybeans yesterday. And I thought I'd share some photos.

Coming closer

Getting close enough I decided to move.

Leaving me in a cloud of dust.

Looking down the row.

The end of the day.

Looks like a good stand. Are they hard to combine? Do you have to dry them?

I don't know jack about beans, but that sure looks like a fine crop to me. There is a lot of beans on every plant. Thanks for an interesting post!

Thanks for the pics. Its been a lot of years since I've seen/harvested a soybean field. Thanks for the memories Smile
Soybeans was our family's main crop when I was a kid. We also did winter wheat and corn and once in awhile barley.

Cowzilla the stems were tough, but the beans themselves were 12-13% moisture. Which is really good. They pretty much all had 50-55 pods and they were only 2 or 2.5 inches apart, and they grew in clusters of five on the stem. We aren't complaining with what we got we are just really glad we got what we got because we were short rain in July and August. And those are the two key months for beans. They are essentially made in those two months.

That is one fantastic set of pictures! Any part of the growing season is good but there is something special about seeing those wagons heaped with bean or corn standing at the end of the field at the end of the day.

Thank you for posting.
