On a clear day you can see forever, but there is just not much to see. :-)

I got lost 3 times looking at that! I bet for all that "not much to see" country in that picture you could hide a lot of cows.

It's not near any town, and not even too close to any ranch buildings. The closest place a couple miles away is the old Ilo Belsky place, but no one has lived there since he died in 1986. Ilo was a soft spoken bachelor who lived an almost hermit-type existence. Most people in the area didn't even know him, because it was very seldom that he would even sneak in to Eli to stock up on a few groceries. He was mostly known for maintaining about 25-30 head of the old Spanish Barb mustang horses and about that many nice Angus cattle. He called his outfit the Phantom Valley Ranch.

Not even any power lines. What beautiful, unmolested country!

This is a view from a high hill on our ranch. There is not a wind turbine in sight, and that is just the way we like it. :cboy:

The Ranger is all that gave it away - - - other than that it could have been taken a century ago!
Watch your thoughts, they become your words.
Watch your words, they become your actions.
Watch your actions, they become your habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
