What does it take to find a great woman?

Postby Tractorman » Mon Oct 28, 2013 9:10 pm

Well first off I don't normally vent or blog so forgive me.
My problem has started off a long time ago, I was about to marry someone I met online. I later found out she was married to someone else and lied to me. I know sounds like a soap opera, and it gets better, I was foolish enough to take her back, and wanted to marry her. What's wrong with me? Have I lost my mind. So after she cleaned my bank account I finnaly realized, I gotta do something. This was around the 4th of July. So I asked my dad for a loan. To me there is nothing worse than asking for a loan, I felt like I let my family down, because I could not keep my house in order. So I got angery, told her I wanted to get her things out of my home.

The next day, I met with her and her dad. He wanted me to reconcider my decision. I said Eugine, you are a great guy, and I'm sorry. We can't workout our differences. And a house divided won't stand. So I for the last time put gas in Hopes car. She gave me back my ring, and other jewelry she had that I gave her.

To some who are reading this you wonder, I should be jumping for joy, but I'm not I have not felt right since. Is this normal? Am I actually being punished for something, or did I lose my grace?

So my question is what is a good woman?

A good woman for you is one whom with you can solve problems, because there will be plenty.
If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you can read this in English, thank a veteran.

Tractorman sounds like nothing is wrong with you. You just picked the wrong woman. Luckily you got rid of her before she did more damage.
A relationship starting with lies will not stand.

Just my suggestion change the locks on your home and make sure her name is on nothing you own or you will find a lot more gone! Lock up everything outside she can get into.

Wish I can answer why you are feeling as you are.

A good woman does NOT start out lying to you. They will stand by you and support you.

I do not know the answer to your question - however I let mine chase me for a couple of years until she wore me down and now we have been married for more than 35 years.

She is sooo damned lucky!!

One thing for sure - the harder you look the harder they are to find. Stay out of the bars and stop giving them gifts - if they need them to stick around, they will cost you in the end.

I met my husband in a bar!
Been together 19 years and married for 18 years.
Lots of good and bad times but we have stood together through it all.
Never lied to my husband.

Tractorman, read what you wrote about 50 times. Each time after you read it,
say to yourself, "I need a partner, not a problem."

Then start looking for a partner...

How old are you? Maybe you and sweetbasil should meet... :-)

I'm hoping as I read this that you are feeling better and that you didn't take this girl back. On behalf of my gender I'm very sorry you were treated like that! I know far too many women who date guys to see what they can get, it's disgusting and hurts too many people in the long run. You seem like a guy that has faith and knows what he wants, trust God to bring you the right women. Those feelings are normal,(I felt them after my divorce even though I knew it was necessary to end things)but will fade with time. There are good women out there and if you are open to seeing their true hearts you will find one. Sorry if this sounds girly, lol I just came across this post and felt I should say something! Have a good night and I'll be praying for you!
