Grain Farmer's Prayer

Postby corncob » Wed Oct 30, 2013 10:45 pm

Fruits are in the cellar, as grains dry in the bin.
Soil is gently turned, in hopes of a new begin.

The days are getting short, as winds shift to the north,
Pumpkins are aglow, and frost forms on the horse.

The season draws to close, and now it won't be long,
we'll give pause to reflect, on what went right or wrong.

But no matter what the yields, or what the price we gained,
Count it all as blessing, forever in Jesus' name.
