Gypsy and the family, still hanging out together.
#4 doesn't have a lot of shine to his coat, but this time of year none of them do.
#5 stopped long enough to get his picture taken.
#6 Is getting along pretty well for having that deformed ankle.
Frindly Fred came over to see what I was doing.
A new face, where he came from I sure don't know.
Some of the old faces still look pretty good.
About twenty miles west, at the Hard Pan, there were about twenty five head. There is a pond here that still has a little muddy water in it.
This band of eight head hang out a few miles to the east. I guess they have had enough, because they headed out, back to their home range.
To have all these mustangs hanging around this water made me believe that further west the water must be gone. I was glassing around when I saw some dust out about two miles. Fifteen minutes later about thirty five head came boiling into the water. Ol One Ear was in the band. (third from the right) A movie camera sure would have been fun to have.
