On the second day we headed for Red Canyon, a dozen miles north of Kanab. The grand kids wanted to hike up the canyon itself, so naturally we made the trek. There were a lot of hikers there and it was nice to get "done and gone."
I'm glad I wasn't here when the water was deep enough to put that dead tree trunk up there about twenty feet.
We found some dunes with no one around and my son and grand kid did some hill climbing. They really go for that. I can just barely remember when I was known to do a little of it too.
