About twenty miles west, at the Hard Pan, there were about twenty five head. There is a pond here that still has a little muddy water in it.
This band of eight head hang out a few miles to the east. I guess they have had enough, because they headed out, back to their home range.
To have all these mustangs hanging around this water made me believe that further west the water must be gone. I was glassing around when I saw some dust out about two miles. Fifteen minutes later about thirty five head came boiling into the water. Ol One Ear was in the band. (third from the right) A movie camera sure would have been fun to have.
