I sold this calf to this girl last fall for a 4H project, this pic is from achievement day a few weeks ago. Despite it's malnourished start to life this calf from a heifer managed to win the trophy for highest average daily gain. I haven't got the carcass results yet, curious to see how it did.
It was a first ever 4H project for the girl and the first time feeding out a steer for the whole family so I think they did well. Much was learned and enjoyment was had.
