Fire relief yet?

What did everyone see in the reports today? I'm not always smart enough to decipher all the numbers and what it means. A nice rain sure would lift my spirits more than these reports. We are burnt up, not near as bad as you guys west northwest but it's gotten real here this week.

Does anyone protect their calves prices by various means of risk management? Just curious what others use. I've looked into LRP and I'm trying to learn about puts and calls and all that stuff. These volatile markets anymore almost demand some sort of protection.

What's the premium for Wagyu or Wagyu cross cattle right now? From a feeders stand point how do they feed out? I've never had Wagyu beef so is the extra price worth it?
