    Had a little Easter luck

Yes, it's a youth model Rossi .410 that I've had since I was in kindergarten. It's a great little totin-around gun - nice and light. I know it looks silly but it gets the job done, I love this gun. You can break off the .410 barrel and turn it into a .22 as well.

    Beached whale! Err... dorper

Thanks, I gave her some Nutri Drench last night as well as some grain to make sure she had some calories. She was looking happy again this morning, shifted maybe a little bit but still in the same general area. I can feel her lambs moving in her belly, so I hope we're close. I'll keep the thread...

    Beached whale! Err... dorper

That's a good idea, we probably should get her lifted somehow so we can keep the blood flowing..

    Beached whale! Err... dorper

I have not.. we don't have any good local vets nearby. I don't want to name names, but there's really only one vet in our area and we've had poor experiences with him. Had a dog go in for a checkup and shots as healthy as could be and she came back dead. Another dog we brought in to be spayed...

    Beached whale! Err... dorper

Howdy everyone, Got a question about one of my dorper ewes. We've had many successful lambings in the past from our other ewes that didn't require too much fuss. We have one dorper this year that has not moved at all in almost a full week. We're giving her hay, water, and electrolytes where she...

    Getting young'ns involved

This past weekend we got 7 more dorper ewes to add to our flock. Our niece and nephew were interested in what we do before turning them out to pasture, so they got some hands-on experience drenching, tagging, and trimming. They had so much fun and asked so many questions. "Why are we tagging...

    Howdy from Texas

This had me smiling the whole time I was reading it. Such an accurate depiction of Southeast Texas (especially the mud and chiggers). With all of its faults, it's still home to me, so I'll gladly endure the quirks, oddities, and irritations all to sit on the porch in the evenings with some...

We got a "new (to us)" Ford 4000

Thanks for the advice, I will certainly keep it in mind when I go poking around for a loader tractor!

We got a "new (to us)" Ford 4000

It's been in the family for a while, but my uncle graciously let my wife & I take it off his hands. We are extremely appreciative and we're going to have a lot of fun with this tractor! It's my first tractor. I still need to get a smaller tractor with a front-end loader but this is an awesome start.

    Howdy from Texas

Wife and I grew up in the same town (high school sweethearts). We're nearing 30 now and have a kid of our own. After living in the city for a while, we've been longing to get back home to a quieter life with some land of our own. We've got 12 acres in our hometown now (a little town in Southeast...

Fuel prices near you- Thanks Biden

I'm spending $100 every time I fill my truck up. 2017 Toyota Tundra. Not a total gas gussler, but it sure feels like it when gas is this high. Averaging ~$4 a gallon.
