    Family Games

I also had the same grandmother as Soapweed so I also played a lot of cards with her. It brings back great memories. I also remember playing rummy and chess with Soapweed and my personal favorite as a child was playing pitch and rounding up members of my family so we had enough to play. Now...

We went to Cheyenne today and unleaded was $1.45. It made Christmas shopping a whole lot more fun!!

What would be your event in the Olympics?

My family thought they could compete in "fencing" but the kind with post hole diggers and stretchers :)

    Some have no shame

I see on the tentative draw for Farmington (National High School Finals) that he is not mentioned so something must have changed. I agree with Jassy. We told our kids that not getting to rodeo, play basketball, volleyball, football, or whatever, would be the least of their worries if they got...

    Off To Calgary

Congrats on Calgary! Hope you have as good as time in Farmington as we had in Gallup for the National Junior High Rodeo. Our daughter competed in the Girl's Breakaway. Missed her first calf and was fairly long on her 2nd, but we all had a great time and what an experience for her. The rodeo...

    It's raining <<happy dance>>

Doesn't rain make a person feel good!!! We had about 7/10" last night. The first we have had of much significance for awhile. Other places around had over an inch. It stopped haying for the day, but that is okay. Our pastures were needing it. I agree with the "happy dance".

    Rain

We've been in Curtis, NE all weekend (Friday and today) for the Junior High Rodeo Finals. They had, I heard, between 8 1/2 - 10". Most of it while we were there... Fortunately the rodeo was indoors. We were all sure glad to see the sun shine today!! We had just over an inch here at home.

A nice six-inch snow came last night, 3-31-08

Nice looking calves, cute baby and what a nice snow. I wish we would have gotten that much. We only had about an inch. We don't need a storm, but would enjoy the moisture! Maybe tomorrow night and Thursday.

    Caking calves this morning

Good news :D We went to the dentist today and Chip didn't get a nerve so all the dentist had to do was put a filling on it and hopefully it will stay in place until he is 18 when they will put a cap on it. He'll have to wear a mouth guard when he wrestles, plays football etc. and hopefully it...

    Caking calves this morning

My daughter wanted me to go "caking" with her this morning so I did. We'll call her "Chipper" and my son "Chip". "Chipper" is up before 6 every morning and is always "chipper" and ready to go and you'll understand my son's name on the last picture. Have a good day! My captions...

A few pictures from the Black Hills Stock Show

Great pictures! We enjoyed the same "show" on Saturday afternoon. The place was so packed it was hard to see all of the exhibits but it was fun to see all the people we knew. We even ran into "Kosmo kid" and his cutie.

    Staying away from Mexico.

I found this post interesting as I have a friend that went with her daughter, who had just graduated from college, to Cancun right before Christmas. I asked her today if she felt frightened at all there. She said she never felt real comfortable, but not scared as they stayed within the resort...

    Coach of the Year

I think congratulations are in store for Coach O'Boyle from Chadron State on getting Coach of the Year for Division II! Nebraska has something to be proud of this year and it coming from the Western end of the state. We had the fun of watching two of their games this year and can't wait...
