We are setting up a system the next couple of days. It came from River wind supply and our barn is a half mile from house. I will let you know how it goes.

    Shad Sullivan: I’ll Thank A Farmer....and a Rancher

Resulting cold mud is very dangerous for newborns. It got down to low twenties last night.

Bright sunshine today and the snow is melting.

Things are getting worse as snow accumulates. We are well over 20 inches. I guess all records are meant to be broken I don’t want to be around when this record is broken. Power outages are being reported with down lines east of here. So far are power has remained on and we are thankful for that.

The target moved we got more than expected. We still have more coming tonite and all day tomorrow. It has been a long day here and there won’t be much sleep tonite. Both interstates are closed in the state. It’s been a long time since both were closed in an April blizzard.

Easy foot of snow here. More coming I think this is going to leave a mark.

The forecasters say this is a tricky storm to predict. I don’t like the sound of that. I guess we are about to find out as it should start snowing here about 4 am wed. Morning.

The forecast doesn’t look good. Going to have to bring all the cows in close. Anything born in about 48 hr, window of storm will have to be brought in. Hope everyone stays safe. We currently are not in the bullseye and am thankful for that but feel sorry for areas that are forecasting 12+ inches...

Rain snow mix for wed and thurs with wind. Any natural protection here is under snow or a in a mud hole. Neb is probably going to get 1 to 3 inches of precipitation in one form or another. Potential for more flooding I would guess. I hope they are wrong but I doubt it. The plan here for now is...

Amen, thank you BMR for posting that. This business is not just a way of life but also our livelihood. Those that have never witnessed the loss will never understand and those that have will never forget as it is etched in our memory forever. Say a prayer for us all next week. Forecast...

    March blizzard 2019

We have the most blocked roads here since Jan of 97. I assume the state highways will be open sometime today. The secondary roads I am not sure as this snow takes a lot of horsepower to move.

    March blizzard 2019

Snow depth is the problem here. Visibility is secondary issue.

    March blizzard 2019

I think this one is going to be remembered for a while. I hope everyone stays safe out there as this is a very dangerous storm.
