    Prayers needed again

For those of you who remember Flying S, his kids were in a car accident and the 12 yr old boy is bad shape. Badly bruised brain, heart and lungs. He is on a ventilator and is sedated for a couple days. They are Christians and would appreciate the prayers.

    Winter peas

Has anyone grown them? If so what variety and how did they do? We are thinking of trying them in fall triticale. We got our pond full using our well so are going to water before we cultipack (it is fluff right now) and then will be able to water again.

    Prayers needed

I saw this on FB, can't imagine what this family is going through. “Men, Lewis Hollister and his family from Arkansas need Prayer. They were shipping cattle yesterday and his 15 year old son roped a yearling in a pond. He was tied off and got caught in the rope and drowned. His 18 year old...

    Triticale...cut or graze?

We have a small field of dryland triticale, it is very light as one would expect with the drought. We are tying to decide whether to cut it or leave it and put the cows on it when they come home. Our concern either way is high nitrates. Any thoughts?

    It's the little things...

We've had our JD tractor a long time and Mike told me today that the seat goes down. All these years my feet haven't touched the floor unless I sit on the edge of the seat. So much nicer!!

    Mrs. Greg

For those of you who remember her, she passed away last week after a two year battle with cancer. She was a sweet lady and will be missed.

    Baler question

Does anyone have a newer Vermeer with a pickup clutch on it? We're thinking of getting a new baler and this is an option. If it would help that would be fine but if it's something to go wrong why bother. Thanks in advance

    Balers, Vermeer vs John Deere

We've been very happy with our Vermeer Super M baler...until last haying season. Had two of the non greaseable bearings go bad. It's had 9800 bales thru it, the repair guy said that at 9000 bales the bearings start to go. Talked to Ace this morning and he said his last JD had 33000 and he...

    Lice control

I know this has been talked about before, but what works best and is there anything that you can do only once per season? Tried Cleanup II last year which claims one treatment per season. Didn't seem all that great but it was really cold when we did it.

    Baler question

We had a hail storm about 10 days ago that really did a number on our alfalfa so we cut early to get it off so we can water up the second crop. We had a really good dew this morning (unusual for us) and Mike started to bale the raked hay. The monitor (the baler is a Vermeer 605 Super M) read...
