    Calf puller

Thank's for the advice Soap. I've been very fortunate over the year's , I've never had too many wreck's, a few large calve's and the occasional backwards one. I do really like the way you hook your chain's and that's what I've always tried to do to.

    Calf puller

I agree with you George, I've only had to pull a few myself and always a heifer. The problem is I have bought most of my cow's as bred heifer's and I bought some more this year. With their higher purchase price and higher calf prices I've been a little more nervous this year and most reputable...

    Tune for today

Felt pretty good today BMR. My surgery went well and the cancer hadn't spread to my lymph node's, so we are thankful. It was a 4 hour procedure and I have never been so sick in my life as I was for the 7 hour's afterward's. So today was great to finally feel half normal, It's hard to believe how...

My brother built one similar to that but he used 3/8 rod for the frame and installed a boat winch. Thank's for the pic.

    Calf puller

Thanks for the input everyone. It sounds like some of you have some really neat technique's, although I'm not sure how they would work in my barn. I've got an open front portable calving barn that I built out of irrigation pipe and it's only 16' deep. A mechanical puller work's well, I'd just...

    Calf puller

I'm curious what type of puller everyone use's, homemade or manufactured? I have one of the cheap farm store one's that's always worked but it's kind of a piece of crap! So I'm looking to upgrade, any and all advice would be appreciated and if you have some pic's that would be great!

    Tune for today

I'm going to leave you guy's with this song, after tomorrow I'm going to be out of commission for a few day's. 2.5 week's ago I found out I have Thyroid Cancer. I'm not looking for sympathy, it's supposed to be quite treatable but the word cancer really scared the crap out of me. Anyhow, I've...

    Sandhills Cattle Association Tour 2014

I hope you enjoyed your tour Soap! You were in my stomping grounds. I didn't go, nothing new for me to see. We've been working at the Sandy Ridge Ranch off and on for month's building new three phase. Some people have entirely to much money!

    Tune for today

Great song Burnt, Dave Barnes is quite talented. I really like his song God gave me you. I did a double take the first time I heard Blake Shelton sing it, Dave's version is way better IMO. Isn't it awesome that we can listen to the radio or find these song's on the web. Any time I need some...
