It's a Sweet Clover Summer here in SE Montana

We just returned from a family reunion in Miles City. I couldn't believe the amount of sweet clover that we saw on the trip.

Does anyone have blueprints for an ark?

The clouds must be all emptied out before they get here. We're very dry and have missed out on the last few rains.

    The long days aren't bad

The ether from NAPA still explodes. It spooks me too much to use it so I bought one of those bead seating tanks. They work pretty good.

    2007 Polaris Ranger XP

They are called a mid-sized machine, but I have never been around one.

    2007 Polaris Ranger XP

There was a '12 Polaris Ranger 500 on our local party line this morning w/1950 miles....$6800, included roof and windshield. Probably farther than you'd like, but I'll PM you with the information if you want.

    Rain on the roof

Glad you've been catching some rains. We've missed most of the rains here. Only .2" in the last five weeks. :(

    Be careful

I wish you could have shared. We haven't had any measurable precipitation for over three weeks.

how are things around the country

We've gotten about 1.8" since May 16th, but rainfall amounts have been all over the board in this area.

    Wrong time of year

Yeah...all that stuff we did in our teens and 20s when we thought we were ten feet tall and bulletproof.

    RAIN

We got ½" on Thursday and a very small amount last night. Still praying for some more.

Friends in areas effected by the storms

We didn't get all that much snow, but we've got plenty of ice and we've been without electricity for two days. I'm also thankful that we were ¾ done calving before this hit. It was probably the worst storm of the winter/spring here.

One hundred years ago was the infamous Blizzard of 1913

Seems like I remember the March of '77 storm. It was along about that time during calving that we had pairs in every available shed and barn out of the weather. I was away at college during the March '88 storm, so Dad dealt with that one. April 7, 1997 doesn't stand out in my mind, so it must...

    Rhino or Gator?

I bought a used Rhino about a year ago. It's been alright, but I don't like the small payload (only about 400 lbs.) and the small cargo box. The engine is right between the seats which limits you to a two seater plus they're noisy and you get a lot of unwanted heat off of the engine when the...

    Much needed moisture!!

Still just rain here. We'e not supposed to get as much snow as you guys farther west. I was just looking at the NE highway camera views. The one at Merriman looked the most wintery.

    The past few weeks

Yes, those look good. Looks like you could move them around easily with pallet forks.

    Bulk Bin

I was a little nervous about having a wreck setting mine up so I just hired a local business with a crane and had them pick it up.

    Bulk Bin

It was on the Hanich (sp?) place.

    Bulk Bin

I'll second that! I bought a 28 ton model a couple of years ago near Dunning and pulled it home. It's not so much the weight, but the 15' that it's up in the air. It barely fit under the railroad overpass on Hwy. 2. To be legal you need a permit from the Dept. of Roads.

    Pallet forks

Agreed, we got a skidsteer in '05. One of the most useful pieces of equipment on the ranch. It's something you'll use nearly every day. We've put together several attachments for ours over the years....back hoe, trencher, post hole digger, bale spear, etc. Wouldn't want to be without it.
