President Donald Trump’s executive order to allow individuals and associations to purchase health insurance across state lines has “the potential to be amazing,” Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said Thursday.

Trump signed an executive order Thursday that charged a number of federal agencies with finding ways to expand access to health insurance plans that are outside of Obamacare regulations. The order relaxes the rules and regulations surrounding association health plans — groups of small businesses (and possibly individuals) that join together to purchase insurance. The order would also allow these groups to purchase insurance across state lines.

“With these actions … We are moving toward lower costs and more options in the health care market, and taking crucial steps toward saving the American people from the nightmare of Obamacare,” the president said Thursday.

“This will direct [agencies] to take action to increase competition, increase choice, and increase access to lower-cost, high-quality health-care options,” Trump added. “This will cost the United States virtually nothing, and people will have great, great health care.”

Good news indeed. Even if all they get done is putting disaster coverage back on the table I'll be happy, happier at least. I don't go to doctors unless I need something sewn back on(literally) but under Oh F-me care I'm forced to pay the same as people that go every time they get the sniffles.

more important the nasty people running and ruining our country want you to pay for the consequences of their sinful lifestyle. Homosexuality, gender change (whatever that is),addictions to drugs like heroin , meth, etc. these kind of people want everyone out of their life till the bill comes due and then they want me to share the cost.

Dittoes. And I would add some surgeries that are solely for appearance sake: including breast reconstruction. since having had breast cancer and being 'offered' breast reconstruction surgery, I do not believe that is necessary to make a person 'feel' normal. Add the fact that there can be many problems associated with reconstruction, including failure requiring more surgeries, it seems not only unnecessary, but a waste of money. I would give lukewarm approval of someone doing it with their own money. It's probably only for the very independently wealthy person, in that case.

I was encouraged to have a prophylactic mastectomy of the non-cancerous breast due to high probability of contracting the cancer causing the first mastectomy..........and have never regretted it. I live in an area of high rate of cancer, so anything we can do to cut the odds in our favor is worth quite a lot for the peace of mind.
