150 yrs in jail

Madoff got 150 yrs in jail.

What a waste of tax payers money keeping him up until he dies.

Why not put him to work in a nursing home empyting bedpans, etc. Let him get a supervised job somewhere, or work release or the like.

Using tax payer $$$ to give him a warm place to shite and 3 meals a day...and he'll die in prison, big deal he'll die somewhere anyway.

Bad part about the Madoff scandal was that FINRA dropped the ball on his earlier reported ripoff investigations............and the very one that was in charge of FINRA then has now been appointed to head the SEC.

CHANGE? Nope.........................................

Well, Madoff lived off other people's money.....well nothing has really changed .

The people who lost their 'investment' money, their tax money is still keeping him up.

It's only the 'scale' of things that have changed.

What else would you expect from a Democrat?

Something is wrong tho. Of the $230,000 of political contributions he made, only 88% went to the democrats. Where did the other 12% go?

150 years for bilking a few wealthy folks out of their money. If he killed some one he would have got 15 years. :?

Well...even in jail he's gonna be living better than some of those he bilked.

It seems that the ' victims' do not realize that fact.

Most people that have money to invest in funds like Madoff's don't put all their money in one basket. It is sad they lost their money but people must use some common sense. My point was that the criminal that killed someone should either get more time or that Bernie got too much. What is worse, a life or some valueless money?

seems common sense and wealth are not always compatible

as for the long well earned sentence... The judge was well aware that a reasonable sentence of 15 to 25 years was a death sentence, so he went for the impact of the MAX, and no one will be able to say he let the guy off easy..

the whole thing boils down to
" a fool and his money are soon parted"

did he FORCE these people to invest? did the people investigate, before investing?

he is a crook. plain and simple. but those who dumped thier money into his pocket have only themselves to blame.

Jigs I am going to differ with you on this one. The guy actually came up with a methodology that birthed a lot of trading. He's been around a long time and had a track record. Some companies put employee's 401K investments in him and it was not an individual choice in those matters.

Well I did'nt lose a dime in his scam's so I guess I could care less. He'll most likely starve to death eating common man's food anyhow.

Maybe "Big Pimp Daddy" will be his cell mate, soon to be "soul mate".

I think that they should let him teach.

Teach people how he did this.....what to watch out for....how it all happened and happens.

He's really a wealth of information.

Credit where it's due...he had a helluva deal going on and it worked for a LONG time.

I'd say the Fed's could benefit from his expertise cause they sure had their dress over their head the whole time.

Why mess around with crap like that, stick him in rat infested cell and make any other crooks that are thinking of doing such a thing think twice about it! Sure we have to foot the bill, but that is the way you deal with crooks. His punishment is as much of a deterrent of future rich dudes screwing people over as it is punishment for him.

Millionaires start seeing that they have to wear pink jump suits and eat cold sandwiches the rest of their lives, while getting a special date with Bubba late at night then they may think twice about repeating what he did!

See you're getting all hormonal here.

How else would you learn about these scams if not from the scammers themselves?

The gov't / Fed's whomever didn't have a freakin' clue.......

I still say he's a great source of info....use it cause he's gonna be eating off of your dime as a taxpayer now!!!

He might as well earn his keep somehow
