2 Months before Breeding Season & I'm Down 1 Bull

I bought this yearling bull, and another just like him, to use on my heifer calves & first calvers from this year.

I went to feed the bulls a few days ago and he was barely able to walk. His left hind leg was badly injured. I had the Vet over and he thinks no bones are broken, but most likely the tendons are ruptured. He may recover depending on which ligament it is. If it's the ACL, he'll be a permanent cripple.

Two weeks should tell the tale.

Sorry for your luck.

I've got one you can borrow, but you'll have to come and get him yourself.;)

He needs to be back by mid july.:)

Hope all works out for you..........

BULLS  ! One spring I had two bulls break their legs three weeks before breeding. It's really fun trying to find decent bulls late in the spring :D . Hope your bull heals up for you!

Where are you in Colo. I live in Salida and have a friend here who has close to 20 yearling Angus bulls she is selling private trraty right now and at the Bull sale in Salida a week from Sat. If you want more info pm me over on cattle today same username as here and I will give you more info. These are nice bulls she just doesn't feedlot them so they are not overdeveloped like what you see at most sales.
