WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Justice Department will fast track the sending of $29 million to South Carolina to help families of victims of the mass murder of nine churchgoers at a historic black church in Charleston, a Justice Department spokesman said on Friday.

An unspecified portion of the money, allocated under the government's national Crime Victim Assistance Formula Grant program, can be used to provide services to the families of victims of the shootings at Emmanuel AME Church, spokesman Kevin Lewis said.

Help families of victims with what? The Carolina Panthers owner has paid for all funeral arrangements, etc. Seriously wondering.

I heard each family will get $3.2mil. with the remainder going towards something or other. Just when I think things are as stupid as they can get, I'm proven wrong.

What about the lady that got shot by the undocumented Democrat in SF, what about the lady that got shot in the back of the head with a shotgun by a black guy in a hoodie?

If the Republicans/anyone were to bring up something about this, they would be vilified to the nth degree.

The thing is, everybody talks about how wrong all of this is, but we just keep taking it. It's like a spoiled kid, pushing his parents to test their limits. Apparently, our limit hasn't been found. So, now I see the sentences of 46 drug offenders were commuted today by you-know-who.

the government sure can blow alot of money.... quickly..

On nothing, while our military goes without necessities....like enough state of the are helicoptors, etc.
Or proper health care for veterans. This is a candy bar administration.

If a solder is killed in battle his family will not see a million... they will be taken care of, but not in one lump sum they could invest,
it can be structured to both take care of debt and give the family a continued financial assistance

I am totally against lump sums for a loss of a family member.. often it is used like a lottery ticket and the family soon suffers an even greater loss..
