MIAMI -- Florida had seen just 17 confirmed fatal alligator attacks in the previous 58 years. In less a week, there appears to have been three.

The bodies of two women were found Sunday some 130 miles apart.

Because of the increased severity of these attacks, President Bush is sending the National Guard to Florida. "It's obvious that these attacks and 9-11 are connected in some way and we want to nip it in the bud now."

I wouldn't be one bit surprised to hear President Bush get blamed for this. I understand you made a joke out of this incident but he gets the blame for everything else why not this too. I mean after all he IS THE PRESIDENT.

HE IS? I had no idea.

Yes, he is the president, BBJ. And yes, it was to be humorous. A joke. A lighter moment. Sorry if your feathers were "ruffled."

Oh, by the way, did you remember the same thought of "being the president" when Carter and Clinton were top dogs? 8)

Have a wonderful day, what's left of it!
