This mornin, we took off about 8:30 am to go pick up Lil Lilly from Rodeo Bible Camp. Rodeo scheduled for 9 am..........as we were leavin the house, it was sprinklin real light, not enuff to need the windshield wipers.....as we drove it got more and more ....by the time we got there, 15 miles away, it was pourin down rain. Really disappointed that they didnt get to have their rodeo after all the kids worked and practiced so hard, but that's ok, we really needed the rain, and amazingly enuff most of the kids didnt have a problem with it, they were glad of the rain too.

we just got a nice little inch 7 1/2 this evening.....run off for the pond, and it is rising nicely, made me feel real good, then as I look west to see if more rain is coming, I see head lights.....nothing but dirt roads for 3 miles west, and some ass is out running up the freshly patroled roads!!!

so I wait for him to get to my corner and go out in the pickup to "talk"" to this fella, and he won't even stop! so I tail him for a few miles, and get his tag number.

the local sherriff is gonna pay him a visit, but I told them I want info on the guy so I can go drive up his roads!! if there are any tracks on my land, they said I can prosecute for tresspassing, and I am pissed off enough I just might!

We've had kids out doin donuts in our hayfields before, tear stuff up perdy good, have wished when it has happened that I was hidin across the fence, cuz I'd sure put a stop to that. Ain't had that happen in a while tho, (((((knock on wood))))

That 3 inches prolly put quite a bit in our tanks too. I haven't been able to go out and look yet, but 3 inches is 3 inches.....woo hooooo!!!!!

If we get that much rain in that short of time our house would float away  We've had 1 inch in 15 min and it got in the basement  what a mess  had a river going through my back yard  what a mess  BUT I guess we'll just have to take what we can, those inches of rain in a short period of time out here sure does fill up the ponds :!: AND the basement

It's mostly sugar sand or blackland, or clay around here, not far to clay anywhere ya go, no one down here has basements because our water table is so high, that water will just seep in continuously. All that rain we got and there wasn't much run off at all, most of it soaked in........goes to show how dry we've been I guess.
