Hope and Change morphs into Bait and Switch. Many hopefully won't be so gullible in the future.

The current precedent in office would argue that point with you. Not that I'm not right there with you in your wish.

Walmart and the Walmart imitators of the country have been the ruin of more home town entrepreneurs and local small business's/mom and pop stores than anyone else- bar none... They will do anything to make a buck at the cost to their employees or the local community.... :(

Haven't been in a Walmart but once in the last 20 years... And that was because we were parked in a shopping center parking lot- I had to use the bathroom real bad and Walmart was the closest store-- so I ran into the Walmart- deposited my contribution to them and left....

As far as I'm concerned that's about all Wallmarts are good for...

Yeah, who needs 24 hour one-stop shopping with the lowest prices within 50 miles, including gasoline and banking services? It'd be a lot better to pay more, drive around to 30 different places to find what you need, and arrive too late at the polls to vote.

It's just too easy to vilify walmart. The next time you have any interaction with any government employee, ask yourself if the government employee was as accommodating and helpful as a walmart employee.

Btw, the negatives of Obama care are mostly delayed beyond the 14, and 16 elections. Sneaky commies want to try to destroy insurance companies before the mistakes are realized.

Yes, walmart was once a Ben Franklin dime store (been some inflation since dime store days) owned by a couple Waltons. Mostly, walmart has expanded by fighting on price. They've mostly won the war fighting a fair fight.

The Fatman kept telling us just how wonderful Ebolacare was going to be?

Does this mean the 30,000 won't be able to get free birth control now? Sandra Fluke better start raising hell.

And if Walmart's start closing their doors it would somehow benefit communities and all of the businesses that generally open up around them? I think not.

I have heard that "whine" so many times from liberals it isn't funny..

Walmart came on the heals of Sears.. Kmart.. (remember them?)

yep .. I heard many a store owner blame them for their demise..

you just can't compete with a catalog,..

in between sears and Kmart was a slew of stores that brought the prices down and lured the customer away from the Mom and pops..

you might remember a few.. 5 and dime stores.. coast to coast..

down town was done in by poor city planning..

a few years back my wife and I went to Australia.. one thing stuck out the most from that trip.. they still had thriving down towns in many communities we visited..

they had a version of Walmart,.. target ect.. (same companies different names.. ) but they were down town.. and there was ample parking..

I take it you have never had to work in a store.

I worked in a union grocery store when I retired for about 6 months.. my wife worked there for several years.. and we still shop there.

I am not sure who was the most oppressive.. the store owners or the union..

I still shop there because they are no worse then any of the other stores.

When we get a super walmart.. I will shop there.. because I know they treat their employees better then the so-called local stores..

the bottom line is you liberals rant,.. but have no facts to back up your emotional comments..

even if you have a locally owned store they get their product from a major distributor...

so name them and then we can discuss which corporation is better..
