On a clear day you can see forever, but there is just not much to see. :)

I got lost 3 times looking at that! I bet for all that "not much to see" country in that picture you could hide a lot of cows.

It's not near any town, and not even too close to any ranch buildings. The closest place a couple miles away is the old Ilo Belsky place, but no one has lived there since he died in 1986. Ilo was a soft spoken bachelor who lived an almost hermit-type existence. Most people in the area didn't even know him, because it was very seldom that he would even sneak in to Eli to stock up on a few groceries. He was mostly known for maintaining about 25-30 head of the old Spanish Barb mustang horses and about that many nice Angus cattle. He called his outfit the Phantom Valley Ranch.

This is a view from a high hill on our ranch. There is not a wind turbine in sight, and that is just the way we like it. :cboy:
