WOW Obama can be blamed for de-unionizing the US  I guess that is not going to go over well with all those union bosses that paid to get him elected.

I had to laugh today when Liberal Bob Beckel was promoting all the good the Unions have done for the US and how people should be thanking the and Eric's comeback was the announcement that all these Union guys dumped their union due to Obamacare.

When I read the headline for this story on a news site yesterday, I was very briefly encouraged. However, I then read the story only to find out that the Longshoremen are mad at Obama because he is not radical enough to please them.

They don't like Obamacare because what they want is a single payer, nationalized health program. They are mad at his immigration plan because it doesn't allow enough of the illegal aliens to gain citizenship. They are mad because a tax is going to be levied on their "Cadillac Health Insurance".

I don't see this as a particularly good thing for America.

this is where the unions are disconnected from the workers and reality...

they are only speaking out against the healthcare law because it effects them and their benefit package.. The union bosses would willingly "trade" away anyone elses' job or benefits to an immigrant.. just to get a political favor..

If you have heard the working longshoremen complain about the Russians up in the NYC area, I doubt that many longshoremen want to see any more competition for scarce jobs..
