The steers are all under 'major debate' but here are the heifers-that's Megan's little Major League off her 4H heifer last year. The black one is Ty's.

Ty's two year old-she's a full sister to this years steer and has a Conneally Freightliner bull calf. She's 3/4 south devon, 1/4 Angus and 1/4 Horned Hereford.

That breaking halter looks familiar. Dad made me one for my heifers. Works great. Thx, NR, for the instructions.

Nice looking heifers. The cow is pretty good too.

Catch ya later,

I r smrt, I mean, smart. lol.

Ever since I got whacked inthe head, I seem to understand my math a lot better, coincidence?

Anyways, those are some good looking females, the only problem is that they should be in my pasture :p .

The NICEST thing is the kids are raising at least some of their calves off their own cows so Dad's herd doesn't get picked clean lol. Ty's baldies go back to a heifer he showed that finished last as a heifer but won the district next year with her calf at side. Of course she was one of the cows we lost on the ice last year.

Nice and deep bodied, look good. Pictures can be sort of decieving, but how's the front feet on that red heifer? I'm probably just being nit-picky :)

The folks went to a bull sale the 2nd week of April and bought 2 bulls; The first one is out of HARB Windy 702 JH (sire is AAR Really Windy 1205) and Lemar Queen 121P (sire is Alberda Traveler 416). Looks like a really good bull.

The second one is out of the same sire, but the dams sire is SAV Final Answer 0035....and I'm surprised they missed it but you would not believe the way he is bow-legged on his back end. One of those that should have been passed over.

Ohh they aren't too bad-it would help if she'd of run out with the other calves but you know how soft living in the grain pen is on cattle lol. I'll post pics on show day when they're on the hard dirt.
