Just when you think you've heard it all......

"Any president whose actions so consistently refute his own words must have deep contempt for the intelligence of the American public."

The Obama administration told U.S. owned Hawker Beechcraft earlier this week they are being excluded from bidding on the US Air Force contract for a light attack aircraft. That leaves Brazilian owned Embraer as the likely recipient of the lucrative deal. I found this one hard to believe so I did a little research. It was tough because this was completely ignored by the main stream media. The information is out there on several conservative sites. Please see the two articles linked below.

This is a double slap in the face of the United States. At a time when jobs, the economy, and security are the most critical priorities for our country, the Obama administration decides to send a defense contract to a foreign owned company.

This has to be the stupidest thing this administration has done to date. This is not just a dumb decision, it is a perfect example of why this president is such a poor leader. He talks about wanting jobs. He says we need to force companies to repatriate billions of dollars that Americans keep overseas. He wants to raise taxes so he can spend billions on stimulus that does nothing to stimulate anything.

And when it's time to act, he sends our tax dollars overseas at the expense of American jobs and income for an American company. This is nothing more than a Chicago-style political pay back; but this time it is at the expense of our national security.

How much more damage will Obama be allowed to do in the next 14 months? One of the lead stories in the media this week blasted congress for insider trading. If this contract goes to Embraer it will be a huge pay off to another George Soros company.

When will the 4th estate do it's constitutionally protected job and expose the real obama to the American people?

We can no longer depend on the media to pass on any news that might be construed as negative towards the democrats.

Please pass these articles to your friends to insure they get the information lacking from so much of today's liberal press.

SO now Obama's BUY AMERICAN policy includes Brazilian light aircraft. :???: When you add the less dependence on foreign oil policy that resulted in billions of US tax payer money spent on Brazlian off shore drilling industry you have to wonder what country Obama thinks he is the President of. :?

Hawker Beechcraft Sues Over Air Force Bidding

The suit is the latest twist in a politically charged contest to buy up to 20 warplanes for the Afghan military. In November, Hawker Beechcraft lodged a protest with the U.S. Government Accountability Office over the Air Force's decision to cut the company's Beechcraft AT-6 aircraft from the contest, a decision that left one rival warplane design—Brazil-based Embraer SA's Super Tucano—in the running. The GAO dismissed the protest last week.

The Air Force plans to buy a fleet of single-engine turboprop aircraft for the Afghan air force. The aircraft, slated for delivery beginning in spring 2013, would serve as both trainers and ground-attack planes. They also would be cheaper to operate and easier to maintain than fighter jets, a key selling point for the cash-strapped Afghan government.

The light-aircraft contract is valued at nearly $1 billion.

"The AT-6 is supported by an already established training, maintenance and parts supply chain that the [Department of Defense] has set up and has existed for years," he said. The rival plane, he added, "benefits from none of that."

Hawker Beechcraft layoffs total 300

Hawker Beechcraft issued 60-day layoff notices Friday to 300 workers, the company said in a statement.

A source said the notices included 210 salaried and 90 hourly workers. The same source said there could be more layoffs sometime around February.

The company issued a statement saying that many of the employees were notified Friday of the cuts.

Hawker Beechcraft employs about 6,000 people, including about 4,700 in Wichita and 200 in Salina.

Hawker Beechcraft has been reducing its Wichita footprint as it works to close Plants I and II and move work to outside suppliers and to its facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, in an effort to cut costs. The company has said it's cutting about 800 jobs related to that effort. Friday's cuts appear unrelated to that plan.

On Oct. 31, Hawker Beechcraft issued 60-day layoff warnings to 100 Wichita workers and one Salina employee, according to the Kansas Department of Labor. Including the notices issued Friday, the company has issued 759 layoff notices this year.

The Air Force's move surprised aircraft industry analyst Richard Aboulafia of the Teal Group.

"They seemed to be the front runner for the contract," he said of Hawker. "They had the most infrastructure spread over the most states and the most political support."

He said the loss is not critical to the company's survival, but it would have been a great boost to maintaining work and workers as the company's T-6 contract runs down.

George Soros has a connection to Embraer through Harbin-Embraer Aircraft a Chinese-Brazilian joint venture, and Hainan Airlines, which Soros owns a significant stake in.

It's troubling, however, that Hawker-Beechcraft was given no real explanation for this decision. It's also troubling we'd buy a military aircraft from a foreign manufacturer, under any circumstances. As bad as Americans need jobs, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Never mind the national security factor.

by most accounts we will be buying a Brazilian light attack aircraft built in a joint venture with a Chinese company.. companies all affiliated with guess who.. spooky dude, Soros..

I guess there is more then one way to sell out the United States security and buy an election..

the real kicker in this is the planes are being given to the Afgans.. who are reconciling with the radical islamic terrorists who attacked US. (taliban)
