68% Want Both Tax Hikes and Spending Cuts in Budget Deal

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Voters are looking for a deal to reduce the budget deficit that will include more spending cuts than tax hikes. They expect a deal that will offer the reverse. And, voters are confident that the tax hikes will be real but aren’t so sure about the spending cuts.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 68% of voters nationwide favor a mix of tax hikes and spending cuts to help reduce the federal budget deficit. Twenty-four percent (24%) want spending cuts only and 4% would prefer only tax hikes.

Gosh aree you that stupid. This poll is worthless. Of the 68% I'll bet hardly any want their own taxes raised, they are only happy with raising taxes if someone else pays.

They should have asked the question, do you want something for nothing and you would have gooten an almost identical response.
Ask them also do you want to give up your free stuff in order to get the budget and spending in line.
Then you have just a few who will support obama in Anything he wants to do, no matter how stupid it is.

100% of the congress can agree with this as well.....getting substantial and significant CUTS from the dems and actually putting them in force is the holdup.

I would go for tax hikes if they cut $5 for every $1 in tax hikes. I read where they will get the tax hikes nut never get around to cutting. If these people want more taxes why make it a law Ot, I am sure they can pay more if they want.

People are for more taxes every time it's not them paying it.

Now, let'stalk about that 50% who pay no taxes, or only the ones that benefits them.

having seen how DC cuts spending.. by "cutting" the growth of the spending rate,.. I do not hold any hope of any real progress in spending cuts..

(warning sarcasm)
as for taxes.. I hope they take a huge chunk from Micheal Moore and Barack, .. and all the rest of the "filthy rich' self haters who are want more taxes..

in fact what we need is a little European socialism and a personal "wealth tax"

say about 90% wealth tax rate on everyone worth over 10 million..

and then after all the liberals run off to Venezuela,..and renouce their citizenship to avoid the tax.. the republicans can say .. just kidding..
and get on with fixing the economy..

I thought Liberals claimed Rasmussen was worthless, after they predicted a Romney win?

Now they are quoting them, becasue a poll result matches their agenda.
