"Federally dependent"...hmmmmm....wouldn't that mean that Montana requires a "subsidy" just to exist?

That is to pay to give all the folks that screwed up their states environments and overpopulated them to come here- where the jackrabbits out number the people and my county alone is bigger than 2 states combined (RI and DE) - to breathe some fresh air in wide open spaces and hunt, fish, and recreate...

We in Montana thank you for visiting and helping us maintain the type of living which allowed the State to be chosen as #1 state to live in - but hope you don't stay if your plan is to live like you do at home and try to californicate our state...

Which U.S. states have the most pride?

State pride across the USA

A Gallup poll surveyed people in all 50 states to find out what percentage of residents say their state was the very best or one of the best places to live.

People who live in Montana and Alaska have the most state pride, according to a poll by Gallup.

In these two states, 77% of residents said their state was the best or one of the best possible states to live in
.

Among the worst places to live in are Illinois, Rhode Island and Mississippi according to residents.

Residents who have a lot of state pride also "generally boast a greater standard of living, higher trust in state government, and less resentment toward the amount they pay in state taxes," according to Gallup.

The poll shows a correlation between positive attitudes and the state's location in a mountainous region with cold weather.

The bottom 10 states show a correlation between negative attitudes and state's location east of the Mississippi River or bordering it.

Most survey respondents did not say their state was the single best place to live, preferring instead to say it was "one of the best."

Texans were most likely to say their state was the very best place to live.

Gallup conducted the poll from June to December 2013 and interviewed at least 600 residents in each state.

Top 10 places to live:

1. Montana

2. Alaska

3. Utah

4. Wyoming

5. Texas

6. Hawaii

7. New Hampshire

10: Vermont

2. Illinois

3. Mississippi

4. Louisiana

5. Michigan

6. New Mexico

7. New Jersey

2. West Virginia: $2.57
3. Mississippi: $2.47
4. District of Colombia: $2.41
5. Hawaii: $2.38

Ot, what the hell do you find wrong with California? It's exactly the sort of failed state that socialism creates. How can an Obama voter identify anything wrong with California unless it's the fact that there still exists the last fragments of freedom? Go to The Richland Field, they'll tell you mt is already californicated.

There are hundreds of Richland's ... If its the town of Richland in my county- I can guarantee you there are more jackrabbits then people as there probably isn't 10 people living there anymore... And I do believe there is one family still living there that came from Iowa- as she bought a horse from me years ago...

And what or where is the Richland Field?

more then likely it is a rural community in a state with large cities that control the direction of the politics..

New York state has rural areas that make south eastern South Dakota look mighty metropolitan.

there are backwoods areas of New Jersey that sport rednecks with ways that would make Kola blush..

The Richland field is the epicenter of oil exploration in mt. Generally encompassing Richland county -south of the river down to 200

The population in Richland county knows mt is reaping lotsa revenue from eastern mt, but the Cali montanans keep all the revenue. So, the roads suffer from oil production, the state collects revenue from oil production, but won't relinquish oil money to help with infrastructure necessary to produce oil.

OT dictionary:

There are boats everywhere (the rich are getting richer- and can afford to buy boats, the poor is getting poorer and have to just stay home- can't afford even the gas money).

Economy is great and budget is balanced (we kiss Obama's and D.C.'s a$$e$ so they send us all your hard earned tax money, especially the poor because they don't have all the accountants and attorneys, but they can always look at the pretty pictures from the people who get their free vacation spot. Life is great....)
