...wash their penises after sex.

Hadn't heard of this one until now.

(CNSNews.com) – The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), spent $823,200 of economic stimulus funds in 2009 on a study by a UCLA research team to teach uncircumcised African men how to wash their genitals after having sex.

The genitalia-washing program is part of a larger $12-million UCLA study examining how to better encourage Africans to undergo voluntary HIV testing and counseling – however, only the penis-washing study received money from the 2009 economic stimulus law. The washing portion of the study is set to end in 2011.

“NIH Announces the Availability of Recovery Act Funds for Competitive Revision Applications,” the grant abstract states. “We propose to evaluate the feasibility of a post-coital genital hygiene study among men unwilling to be circumcised in Orange Farm, South Africa.”

that is obscene in itself...

but the money is going to South Africa to boot... :???: :?

we could have fixed a few streets with the cash, replaced a high pressure gas line or two... and saved a few lives and homes...

I'm think that if there had been a few less of these wasteful items in the first Stimulus, the Dems would not be coming back for another $50 billion to supposedly do what the stimulus was to do in the first place. Give a child a credit card

BTW Have you ever noticed how when someone posts what the Dems are wasting US tax dollars on Oldtimer is nowhere to be found.

Could have repaired a road near us that just claimed it's 4th life this weekend and could have claimed 16 highschool football players too.

Sorry to hear about this I send my prayers to the family of the victim as I know what a shock it is to loose a loved one, I lost a nephew last spring. I also send my thanks to God that he spared the football team.
