A bit early BUT for Canadians

Thanks for that - got most of the fences fixed - been home for almost two weeks - leave for my second year tomorrow night - Syria is likely to be my new home - a bit more primitive camp - will not know until I land there on Tuesday - I have been asked if I would like to be the new liaison officer between locals and the military - so lots of back roads (no roads)travel with (hopefully) a switched on interpreter, usually but not always reasonable villagers, out of date maps, lots of camping gear and my GPS.

Just me and my trusty knife.

Take care of yourself BC. I hope you are able to check in once in a while. We'll all be wondering how you are getting along.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and give thanks for all those who have served and who are serving in uniform. As far as I am concerned, our allied forces are included in that remembrance.

Take care BC, and thank-you to all the US and Canadian Servicemen and Women who keep us safe and free.

This video is a little different from the others that have been posted, but it reminds me of a gentleman I met quite awhile ago, and passed almost 2 years ago.

He was once called "Canada's Toughest Soldier", but I knew him in a different light. Tough as nails, but a lot of fun.
