A day at the beach

Too hot for man or beast here these days, so Mrs. Silver, myself, our youngest daughter and the neighbour family took four wheelers down to the river for a weenie roast and a dip. This river isn't pretty, but it's the right temperature.
Took a bit to clean the kids up, but they enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

   I'll bet those kids did have fun...I've always said- if there's one mudhole in 40 miles- or one fresh cowpie in a pasture- a kid can find it....

Supposed to get hot here today too-- somewhere around 95...

Looks like you had a fun day. The water here is still to cold to swim in and the bumper crop of mosquitos would carry a person off if you tried to relax in the shade  Been quite a few years since we had bugs like this, the oldtimers always said " lots of bugs, lots of hay". We'll see in 3-4 weeks :D

I was at the river with mine yeasterday. They had a ball. A friend and I sit in lawn chairs and watch the children play. It was freezing cold when we first got in but later it just felt great!

LOL, Mrs Silver and myself were discussing that very thing. We thought the appropriate time to drag out the picture of the neighbour boy will be on his wedding day

Or even for the senior class slide show when they graduate from high school. Great pictures of a fun day. :)
