I was just kidding around that 's why I put it in metric glad to here you got some rain . I forgot to put the message body emoticons on

I forgot about metric for you northern guys. I wish we all use the same measurement. I had one tractor I was work on some of the bolts was in inches and some metric. I like metric better.
WHY?

Because most of the equipment today is put together in other countries that use metric system. And it's pain to have to have a boat load of tools in inches and metric tools to work on it.

So your saying you have more metric tools than SAE? Usually not the case.

No I have about the same amount of each, but if it was metric I wouldn't need all these tools.

Lilly, I know what you mean about screw drivers. Now they have star heads to. I think the tool makers do this just so we have to buy more and more tools.

Yeap there are a couple of those star head screw drivers that have found their way into my "under the sink" bucket of tools. Those will just irritate you even more when ya pull it outta the bucket, because I've yet to find anything in my house that has that type of screw. LOL

If it was all in American measurements you wouldn't need all the metric one's

Thats truth. It's funny American measurement started with the measurement of the King of England foot. Now they have metric and we have the same old measurement of the Kings foots. :?
