As to the bull debate I am officially in favor of the bosses decision.
That's coming from a die-hard black cow type of opinion, that has hauled some baldy's that were a little bigger. I owned a baldy cow once, she raised three real good black heifers, and six or seven of the biggest black steers I ever sold. When she was just past her prime, she tried to run the wife into the fence, and in so doing she irritated my "little" brother who discussed the deal with her bare handed to the point that she had one more black calf and died the next June, of unrelated natural causes, and maybe a little guilt. I don't really have a point to the tale, except she was born in Montana, and my brother never talked a solid black cow into "retiring" early... I'm pretty sure she wasn't the toughest bald-faced two-year old to ever leave Montana, but she made one helluva cow in Nebraska, and she was a darn dog trainer.
