I don't know what to make of these things. Looks to me like they have a huge environmental negative impact that offsets any good impact they have.

The only impact these guys had on me was that I wish I was on the pond with them.

Kind of a pretty spot in the world. Near Waterton, Ab.

Pretty expensive, inefficient and stupid imho. We have a whole whack of them west of us toward the lake. Hundreds of them. I think we will pay an awful price for electricity once we feel the full cost of them.

I'd like one of those semi's to haul hay with.

I'd be happy with the hay. :D

Come on down I put up a 128 bales yesterday off 30 acres it's unreal.Corn is 10 tall and setting ears pretty well. Our meadows may need some winter cold to get them they are very wet.Got drizzeled out today. Upland fields are so wet you are cutting in with the tractors. I've got the baler and the tractor dualed up and still got stuck once yesterday. Sure wish we could have split this summers rain.

I'll be down when your meadows freeze up. Nothing smoother than haying on ice.

Til then I'll keep plugging away with the weedeater and the wheelbarrow. Baled a little meadow that needs ditch repair badly today. The ditch was dug straight sided with a backhoe about twenty years ago. It's about four feet to the bottom and the top edges are sloped in, most of the water is running under and a little is running on top.
23 bales on ground that baled 54 last year. The excavator I made a deal on will get put to use this fall.

Our hayground was like that last year fields that normally put up a 150 bales were 100 bales had one 70 acre piece that normally gets 110 bales come in with 42. I have a 70 acre piece I got 127 off last year so far were at 243 and there's another 60 bales yet to bale. Hope you get enough hay.

Last year the field the trucks are in did 1/2 ton per acre. This year it was around 3. Farther east at my home place it ran around 5 ton/acre when last year it was about 1/3 ton per acre. It also has an excellent second cut just about ready. Funny how it varies in a few miles and from year to year.

Are you going to bale you second or graze it this winter Per?

You almost have time for a third! :D
I have been considering that very question. I am leaning toward swathgrazing it. We are only a few weeks away from frost. Our crops are all green still so if the frost comes in the next couple of weeks I will be needing yours and your neighbors calves.
