Nice looking cattle. Oh how I would love to hunt geese that far north, by the time they get down here they don't decoy worth a dang.
What is a decoy?!? :) I say we could leave em in the truck at that watering hole!

Well not as aesthetically pleasing as normal  but still nice pictures. If there is a slight rumble in your in your vicinity it's just Virgil and some others turning over :)

i know, i know... one of the others would be grandpa and i think i might have to go hook a generator up to him or something cause he's turning a good 2100 rpm.

What in the billy blue blazes?!?!?!?!

You just keep these off colored cattle over here where they belong!!!!

OK - i just thought i'd try and help make a couple of the KC big rims more at home on your deal.

Your cattle look great, Hereford76. Color always takes a back seat to quality.
so then how do you explain CAB?

Seriously tho - it was more tradition/pride that needed to take back seat to heterosis. i want the entire commercial herd here to be straight hereford and cross breed them black. maintain the papered herefords to keep all the replacements from and try and get this papered angus deal just to maintain enough of a herd to raise my own black bulls. i didn't know how else i would afford 3 black bulls to what 1 hereford bull (a guy really shouldn't have to say this - but horned hereford bull, that is) would cover in the commercial herd - so i'm going to try and raise them at cost to me... hopefully i don't do a belly flop and waste a good headstone engraving Nicky, cause i don't know what its going to say now!

thanks for the comments - its kind of getting adicting taking pictures.

I've been running around to every big livestock show and judging contest in the last month and have seen and fit on some of the best in the nation. But it's a breath of fresh air to be able to see some good old Hereford cows with that solid set of calves at side. Really nice set of livestock 76. Gives a youngin like myself something to look to as a very successful brood cow battery to work towards.
