Per it is a great change! As regards the bulls, I have never found the air under the belly to weigh very much. :)

Shortgrass, Thanks, she is coming along, getting about 3 hrs a day on her now and that is the best way to get them handy. If by twine you are referring to my snare, it is 45 feet.

Great pics Dylan .. Thanks for posting them.

Everything looks like they are ready for a dandy summer, from your moms and babes ,to your bulls. :D

Love the pic with the pups and Trixie. :)

Did you get any of that rain that was circling around tonight ?

I was gonna list them all, but instead I'm going to just say,
"NICE EVERYTHING." Looks like a well-run outfit to me.

Tell us more about the bay mare. I really like the look of her.

FH, thanks. I think she is a sweet looking little filly myself. She is a 4 year old I bought as a long yearling. Her registered name is BSF Short Gin, on the top side she is by Cheyenne Shorty a Shorty Lena son, out of Kitten Kabootle, a Haida's Little Pep, Rey Jay bred mare. On the bottom she is out of Double Gin Please a double bred Vibrant Peppy(Peppy San Badger) grand daughter. If you want a look, here is the link.

Nice pictures. Your livestock looks well-fed and content. The extra water is frosting on the cake.

Soap thank you.

The cows are in good enough condition considering they are going to have some green grass in front of them for a while. They never slick off soon enough for me, but they should shine up eventually.

The skeeters like the water almost as much as I do. :D

Dylan, we have a friend who is a cutting horse man in Oklahoma.
He's young and very good with and to the horses--anyway--
the Dual Rey's are his favorite bloodlines. Your little mare has
some of that same breeding. FWIW

Those snowstorms definately spruced your country up well Dylan.

Do you weigh every calf or just your purebreds? I weighed for a couple of years and now just write an estimate. The big birthweight heifers go on the truck to make life easier around here.

We caught a quick shower ,but not enough to really do anything. I am looking forward to the %mm or rain and the 5 cm of snow that is being forecast for Saturday. That should help fill up the dugouts that are dry again.

I think summer is finally around the corner though as the Purple Martins are here now, as well as the Finches and House Wrens ... Humming birds should be flying in any day now.

Thanks everyone, the kind comments are appreciated.

Gcreekrch, I weigh the purebreds and the few commercial bull calves that look like bull prospects. I use to weigh every thing also for many years, not as ambitious as I use to be. :)

HD glad to here you got a shower. Hope the moisture materializes for you this weekend.

It's great to see the birds come back. I was up to NR's neck of the woods a couple of days ago and saw some barn swallows, haven't seen any here yet though, how about there, any barn swallows?
