The Bar J Wranglers from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, performed in the evening. They put on an outstanding show of western music, beautiful harmony, and hilarious comedy.

It was a fun day. The evening program was super. Valentine goes all out for the Bull Bash, and the whole town is to be commended for making it such a gathering place for bull buyers, sellers, and mere interested spectators. I've been to every one they've had, and have enjoyed them all immensely. Sometimes it is a bit chilly, but one thing about cold weather, a person can pile on lots of layers of clothing. In the hot summer of southern climates, you can only take off about so much or risk the chance of getting arrested.

Great pics, as always, Soapweed! Gotta admit, though, ya threw me a curve on that one........I thought maybe ya'll had splurged and gone to a bull-riding event!!!!!!

Like the looks of the paint, too, even though I'm not big on paints anymore, since Ole Paint died......

Glad ya had a good time.......but we still have about 2 months till our first calves hit the ground. Gotta wait till after Easter, cause usually we have our worst storm of the winter, that weekend. Heck if I know why, but Al's first mare had to be put down, cause she got in the cattleguard Easter morning, and was so torn up that there was no chance she would ever heal up enough to be usable again. :(

Soapweed: Thanks for the pictures. If you don't mind me asking what happened to the AGCO that it needed a ride to the hospital?

Good luck with calving and hope the weather cooperates. :D

The Agco was not running right. It started hard and kept killing out. We changed the fuel filters but that didn't seem to help. When I had the flat tire on the trailer, it would have been easy to have unloaded the tractor to change the trailer tire, but I was afraid it wouldn't start or run long enough to do the deed. Anyway, that is its problem. :(

Hey Soap, we have been having the same problems with our equipment. Didn't haul any to the hospital, although I was ready to shove one off into the draw. Turns out we got ourselves a bad batch of fuel. Too much water in it and the equipment kept freezing up. We drained the tanks, changed the filters, bought IsoHEET by the case and put different fuel in everything.
All is running well now, after a week of fiddleing.
Someone let me know when they find a diesel that will run on water and ice. :???:

Thanks for the pics, as usual they are great.

Good Photo's - - Thanks

Couldn't help but note the 'Store Fronts' - Were you setup in the street?

Red Bluff (Bull Sale, Horse Sale, Dog Sale) is one the whole town gets into.

Events like this are really fun and are usually very well attended. Miles City (MT) has a fairly big show every year, around 70 pens, but the cold took its toll this year as there were only 30 pens or so. I ought to add that this was after it had been postponed for week due to bad weather.
