We kept hunting hard on Saturday-we pushed some good bucks while filling the doe tags-we were up glasing a big dep coulee when we saw a maybe shooter buck top out the other side. We circled over there and couldn't find him but saw this dude at about 800 yards hauling the mail across a big flat-he hit a big patch of sage brush and herded up with the doe. The wind wasn't good to get after him but we got at least crosswind to him and stalked down a big drainage to him. We ran out of cover so Ty coyote yelped and got him to stand-he finally moved and Ty and I booked it across the drainage and I anchored him. Pretty sweet strategizing on a hillside watching the sun shine of a big bucks horns-can't wait till next year when Emily can get a mulie tag.

Good deal and a good story all around!! #50 yards takes a pretty steady shot. Congrats to all, especially Emily for her fine shooting. But do take care of yourself there chappie!

Looks like you and your offspring had a memorable hunt and bagged some fine trophies. Good fun and meat for the winter, can't beat a deal like that. Even the weather appeared to be cooperating very nicely. :)

i'll try and put up some more pics-were lucky in that we have permission to hunt alot of places that don't let many people in. On Saturday morning we jumped a two hundy in the same coulee Sara got her buck in-we caught up to him and he was broadside at 150 on some land that wasn't posted-I stayed and watched while the kids looked up the land owner-he didn't watch us shooting him so he got a free pass-hope he makes the season.

Not sure how this will turn out-but this is a real good mulie buck-he's the one I passed at 150 because we didn't have permission-we'll get in his bailiwack next year in archery hopefully.

Wow, NR. Looks like your clan came up with some real good critters there. The one you had to let go is a real handsome feller too, even from his least-attractive side.

The smiles on all three of your faces tell it all. What a great family you have and it's sure nice to see you enjoying a wholesome undertaking together. Thanks for the awesome pics.

You're quite a case, with the chemo and all. Hope you continue to have a decent go of it. Reckon we won't be hearing the "poor me" story from you anytime soon. 8)

Thanks High Plains no matter how bad a day a person is having probably 90 percent of the world is having a worse one-were so lucky to live where we do-might as well enjoy it-tears don't grow much grass.

So glad you had a good time with your family NR. I will keep you and them in my prayers.
