A good project for a rainy day.

I'm sitting at the computer watching a pouring rain come down on a foot of snow.  Not a fun day outside. Yesterday was not much better so........

So what to do? Make a bear for baby Granddaughter! A lot more fun than running around in the slush. :D :D :D

Well it looks like someone is pretty handy with a needle and thread! Looks cuddly enough that the Grand baby ought to enjoy that one!

Oh that's really cute. Somethin to for the grandbaby to hang onto from now on.

My grandma made me a sock monkey. I had it forever....and now I can't find it. I don't know if I packed it in a box and stuck it in the attic. (not somethin I'd do to Mr Sock Monkey on purpose).....

We delivered it last night. I was getting pretty attached to it, and thought I'd better get it gone while I still could. :D :D :D :D

And then I stopped by at the thrift store and bought an old fur coat to dismantle and turn into more bears. This should be an adventure. I've never sewn with the real thing before.

These bears could get addictive. You can use the same pattern, and they still turn out different. It's pretty cool to see who you've built. :D

If I were to ever get a rainy day again, I'd go play in it an roll in any mud available. Take some pictures too to have something to remember what rainy days are.
