Thank heaven, the oceans should stop rising any minute now.

The EPA is also looking to regulate the pollution discharges from military ships, including drainage from onboard photography labs, deck runoff from rain and seawater and foam used to fight fires onboard.

well it looks as if our time at sea is now about to end,... maybe someone should explain the implications of having rules that regulate rain and sea water runoff on a ship...

as for the fire fighting foam.. the military found a great fire fighting agent awhile back.. Halon... as soon as it came out it was banned... as it may harm the ozone...

When was the production of halons banned?
Under the Clean Air Act (CAA), the U.S. banned the production and import of virgin halons 1211, 1301, and 2402 beginning January 1, 1994

However, due to the fact that halons deplete the ozone layer, users are encouraged to consider replacing their system and making their halon stock available for users with more critical needs.

if it's use was limited and controlled it would save lives...

and reduced the need for fire fighting foam...

and by the look of it even the foam is fairly safe..
Environmentally formulated FireAde® 2000 MIL-SPEC 6 is the newest generation in military specification foams. Using Green Agent Technology™, environmentally friendly formula prevents environmental hazards and demonstrates our long term commitment to the environment. This foam agent is formulated to prevent additional environmental hazards when applied to a fire

at a point those few of US who survive will be living in stone huts to make the airplane liberals happy...

yep,.. but reducing pollution has caused the nasty hurricanes and weather we have been experiencing..

Industrial Pollution Reduced Hurricanes; Cleaner, Aerosol-Free Air May Lead To More Storms: Study

just one of those unintended consequences of regulations..

like mandating MTBE to improve the air quality in smog areas.. and ends polluting the well water...

stupid liberals...
